It is a very famous indian sweet.We can call this as a bengali sweet.Easy to make it at home.
INGREDIENTS :
Milk - 1 ltr
Lemon juice of 1 lemon
(or) citric acid (or) white vinegar
Sugar - 1 cup
Elachi powder - 1/4 tsp
Water - 3 cups
Maida - 2 tsp
Preparation :
1. Take a bowl and boil milk.When boiling milk add lemon juice,and turn the stove off.
2. Seperate the paneer or curd or chenna
3. Take paneer in to a strainer and leave until cold ,up to 1 hr.
4. Mash the paneer with hand till soft and smooth wet dough.
5. For making sugar syrup take 3 cups of water for 1 cup of sugar.
6. Make small balls from paneer.
7. Drop the small balls in to syrup and boil them up to 20 min.
8. U can see the balls bulging.
9. Take glass and mix 1tsp of maida in to water and mix well,in the middle of boiling the rasagollas add 2 or 3 times maida water in to the bowl.
